On Thursday, June 15, 2023, Deputies on routine patrol North on Highway 99, observed a black Infiniti with a shattered back glass cross the center line twice. 

Deputies conducted traffic stop, approached the vehicle, and identified the driver as Gawain Paul Cezar, 22,605 Hospital drive, Oakdale, and the passenger as Alcide Joseph Senegal, 20, 8097 West Adams Street, Tolleson, AZ. 

Deputies noticed the smell of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  Deputies located a small amount of marijuana in the passenger's pants pocket and marijuana in the center console of the vehicle. 

A digital scale was found in the door compartment and deputies located a pistol magazine and rifle magazine under the passenger seat. In the trunk deputies found a Sig Sauer M400 rifle.

Cezar was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana over 14 Grams, Possession of a Firearm in the presence of CDS. Cezar also received citation Obstruction of Driver's View, Improper Lane Use, Driving Under Suspension. Cezar was then transported to the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail to be booked for the charges.

Senegal was transported to the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail and cited for Possession of Marijuana less than 14 grams and released on summons.
