On Monday, May 15, 2023, Deputies were dispatched to 14390 Highway 101, in Jefferson Davis Parish, reference to a suspicious circumstance. The complainant called and reported there were two people in the bed of his truck trying to steal it.

The vehicle was cleared, and no one was around it when deputies searched the area.  The complainant appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and was hallucinating about the two people stealing his truck. 

A records inquiry revealed Michael Ross Hardy, 47, of Boudreaux street, Welsh, La was wanted on several fugitive warrants.

Hardy was arrested on warrant for DISTURBING THE PEACE, CRIMINAL TRESPASSING, SIMPLE ASSAULT, and AGGRAVATED ASSAULT. 

Additional charges of possession of CDS II and taking contraband into penal facility when Hardy was found to have narcotics in his pants pocket during booking process.
