On Saturday, April 29, 2023, Deputies were dispatched to 7451 Alysworth Road, Elton, Louisiana, in reference to a violation of a protective order. T

he complainant making the call turned out to be a disgruntled ex-boyfriend that was intoxicated.  Deputies got a second call around 1 AM and observed Clinton drive up in his vehicle at a residence on Dan Buller Road. 

Deputies detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from Clinton's breath and he was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. 

Deputies observed two open cold 12-ounce beers in the vehicle.  Clinton began to kick the door and window of my patrol unit and had to be restrained by deputies to avoid injury and damage to the patrol unit. 

Clinton Alexander Mecklenburg, 21, of 7451 Alysworth road, Elton was also charged with DWI, telephone harassment, two(2) counts of resisting an officer with force, and alcoholic beverages in vehicle.  Clinton's blood alcohol concentration was 0.183 grams percent.
