On March 5, 2023, Deputies responded to the area of Highway 101 and Frontage Road Lacassine, Louisiana, in reference to a missing person.

Lake Charles Police reported that a juvenile ran away and was possibly in the area. A witness stated she saw a juvenile and a adult male walking towards Interstate from the convenience store at about 5:48 AM. 

Deputies checked surveillance video from the convenience store and observed the reported run away with a white male walking away from the store toward the Interstate. 

Deputies located the runaway and Timothy Eugene Alred, 34, walking on South Frontage Road near Hoke Road, approximately 10 miles from the convenience store. 

During pat down deputies located a white powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine in his right jacket pocket. The juvenile was released to parents and Alred was booked into the parish jail for possession of schedule two narcotics and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
