On September 13, 2022, Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff deputies opened an investigation related to a cyber tip received by the Louisiana Attorney General's Office.

The cybercrime tip reported that a video containing child pornography had been uploaded on to Instagram and forwarded to another user account, on or about June 5, 2022.

Upon receiving the tip, Investigators reviewed the video related to this cyber tip and determined it to be illegal. The video is 1 minute and 3 seconds in duration and shows a male and a juvenile female recorded in a sex act. 

Deputies applied for search warrant to identify the IP account and location of the subscriber to the account.  Deputies were then able to identify a suspect. 

The investigation led deputies to Logan Michael Crochet, 22, of 3141 Edmond drive, Jennings, La.  A warrant was obtained, and Crochet was arrested and booked today on 1 count of Pornography involving juveniles.
