Drug arrest

On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, Deputies were dispatched to 1903 Second Avenue, Roanoke, for a suspicious circumstance. 

On arrival, Deputies spoke with the complainant, who stated he heard a person yelling from the vacant lot across the street.  Deputies walked across the street and observed a male subject yelling.  The man's pants were on the ground and he was swaying back and forth, appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. 

The man identified as Aaron James Menard, 42, of 219 West 4th street, Roanoke, was transported to the Sheriff's office.  Deputies located a clear baggy with a rock like substance that tested positive for cocaine.  Menard had a coin purse with him that contained drug paraphernalia and a white powdery substance identified as fentanyl.

Menard was booked into to the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail, charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Fentanyl, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
