On 13, August 2022, Deputies responded to 20500 North Frontage Road Lot 99, Iowa, Louisiana, in reference to a complaint of vandalism to a residence. The complainant reported when she came home, she realized someone had broken into her camper, dug through all of her belongings, and had taken numerous items.

Deputies observed that entry to her camper was gained by a storage compartment door on the outside, where deputies noticed a broken lock.  The suspect was able to crawl up into the camper from under the bed. 

On August 15, 2022, the victim called the Sheriff Office and stated she was with a witness that had information on items stolen from her camper. 

Detectives obtained information from the victim and witness that identified a neighbor as the suspect who committed the burglary of her camper. 

Detectives obtained a warrant for Robert Lee Read, 40, of 20500 North frontage road, Iowa, LA.  Read was booked into the parish jail for simple burglary, theft and simple criminal damage to property.
