On Tuesday, August 2, 2022, Deputies were dispatched to 19584 Monnic Drive, Jennings, in reference to a fight.

While deputies were in route,  the complainant advised his nephew had struck him with a stick and fled the scene in a grey sport utility vehicle. 

The complainant reported that he retreated into his home and the nephew tried to make entry by breaking a glass insert in the door and reaching in to open the door.  The nephew was unsuccessful in entering the residence and fled the scene. 

Deputies observed the complainant had bruising above his right eye and red marks on his face.  The complainant stated he and his nephew had an argument over the phone and the nephew showed up at the residence uninvited. 

Detectives arrested the nephew, Cameron Ray Cooper, 26, of 890 Union Station Parkway, Lewisville, Texas on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, for aggravated battery, attempted home invasion, simple criminal damage to property and criminal trespass.
