On Saturday June 4, 2022, Deputies patrolling the area of Highway 90 near Highway 395 and observed a vehicle traveling East bound on Highway 90 at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle's speed was 82 miles per hour in a posted 55 mile per hour zone. Deputies stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver.

During the stop, deputies received information that a passenger in the vehicle was under a protective order and was not supposed to be around the driver. 

James Ray Savoie III, 25 of 1910 Joe Louis street, Jennings was booked into the parish jail for violation of protective order.
