On Friday, April 1, 2022, at 9:20 pm Deputies were dispatched to Interstate 10, near milepost 59, in reference to a domestic disturbance in a burgundy Ford truck traveling eastbound.

Dispatch advised the female complainant stated that her husband hit her in the eye. Deputies located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Shop Rite located on Elton Road, Jennings. While speaking with the complainant she advised her husband had ripped her shirt during a physical altercation.

Joseph Dale Brooks, 51, of 910 W. 18th street, Lake Charles was arrested and booked into the parish jail for domestic abuse battery.
