Monday, December 13, 2021 , Jeff Davis Sheriff's detectives charged Welsh man with 2 counts of Illegal possession of stolen things and 1 count of Theft. 

Jimmy Edward Nutt, 50, of 111 East Powers street, Welsh was arrested and booked into the parish jail by Welsh Police dept. on Sunday December 12 for unrelated charges. 

Jeff Davis Sheriff's detectives linked Nutt to the theft of a bass boat, power tools and lumber from a residence on June 15, 2021.  Detectives obtained arrest warrants and added the additional charges on Nutt Monday.  He is currently held on a $20,000.00 bond.
