Traffic stop results in drug arrests

On Monday July 5, 2021, at 2257 hours, Deputies were patrolling on Highway 26 and observed a white Ford mustang with no taillights.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, Kimble Lee Romero.  During questioning and search deputies discovered syringes needles, a small container with suspected methamphetamine and Fentanyl. 

Romero and passenger Jerry Lynn Touchet both denied ownership of drugs and paraphernalia. 

Kimble Lee Romero, 56, of 925 W. Division street, Jennings was booked into the parish jail for taillamps, possession of CDS II, resisting an officer, obstruction of justice and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Jerry Lynn Touchet,62, of 708 Howard street, Jennings was booked with possession of CDS II, possession of drug paraphernalia, taking contraband into penal facility, possession of marijuana and contempt of court warrant for possession of CDS II.
