Domestic abuse battery arrest

On Monday, July 05, 2021, deputies were dispatched to the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office 911 Building in reference to a walk-in complaint of a disturbance.  Upon speaking with the complainant, deputies learned that a argument occurred earlier that morning at 19380 Highway 26, Jennings and the complainant was beaten by her ex-husband. 

 

Deputies located Michael Allen Kratzer 25, at a residence on Gallup street a short time later and arrested him on warrant for domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, criminal damage to property and flight from an officer.  Kratzer kicked the complainants vehicle causing the airbags to deploy.  When he observed deputies approaching him at the Gallup street residence, he fled to evade arrest.   This was Kratzer 4th arrest by the Sheriff's department.
