On Thursday, June 17, 2021,deputies were dispatched to 18211 Estes Road in Iowa, Louisiana, in reference to subjects shooting over the roadway. While deputies were responding dispatched notified the suspects had left the area and were being followed by witnesses.

Dispatch advised the suspect vehicle was a white Honda Accord with Louisiana license plate.  Fenton Police Department identified the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at milepost 14.

Deputies discovered the vehicle's occupants were in possession of a Sig Sauer 9mm semi auto pistol and also found marijuana in the vehicle. 

Tavin Latrell Talbert, 20, of 511 third street, Fenton was booked in on Louisiana Revised Statutes 14:95.1 Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, 32:292 Shooting from the Roadway, and 14:94IE Illegal Discharge of a Firearm.

Nelson Freeman III, 20, of 24025 Manuel road, Welsh was booked in on Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:536 Switched Plates, 32:292 Shooting from the Roadway, 14:94IE Illegal Discharge of a Firearm, and 40:966 Possession of Marijuana.
