Early this morning, Jeff Davis Sheriff's deputies were searching for a fugitive when they observed a vehicle fitting the description given around 2:00 am on Martin Roy Road. 

When deputies stopped the vehicle they discovered the fugitive they were searching for was not in the vehicle, her boyfriend was driving it. 

During the stop deputies discovered the driver to be in possession of a large amount of counterfeit ten and twenty dollar bills. 

Storey Kaleb Roy, 43, of 8629 Martin Roy Rd, Jennings was arrested and charged with Monetary instrument abuse(Counterfeit currency). 

Deputies then located and arrested fugitive, Lakesha Shantel Regan, 38, of 8629 Martin Roy rd, Jennings at their residence. 

Regan was charged with warrants for 3 counts of contempt of court and 1 count of accessory after the fact in aiding the escape of a trustee in November from the Sheriff's office.
