On Wednesday, June 17, Deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violation on Hwy 165 & Carl Hoppe Road around 4:00 pm. During the stop deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and found  narcotics. The driver,Stephen James, 33 of 357 Coco avenue, Cottonport, LA was arrested on charges of No driver's license, turning movements, possession of CDS IV Alprazolam and Possession of CDS II Hydrocodone.  The passenger, Justin Devon Wells,27, of 328 Cappel Lane, Cottonport, LA was arrested for possession of CDSI Marijuana. He was released on summons.
