Suspicious man lying in road leads to drug arrest

On Tuesday May 19, at 5:00 am Deputies were dispatched to Dama Landry road , a report of a white male lying in the roadway near a motorcycle. 

When deputies arrived they discovered Mason John Adams, 34, of 719 West Jefferson St, Jennings.  He was under the influence of narcotics and told deputies he was driving his motorcycle down the road and the wheel fell off.

Deputies inspected the motorcycle and found the wheel was still attached and appeared to be operational. Adams was obviously impaired.  Deputies observed a small baggy of methamphetamine lying on the road under the motorcycle.  When deputies placed Adams under arrest, he asked for a cigarette.  When deputies retrieved his cigarettes they observed more small baggies of methamphetamine in the saddlebag of the motorcycle. 

Adams was arrested for possession of CDS II, methamphetamine. Adams was released on summons.
