On Wednesday January 15, deputies patrolling observed a vehicle parked at the Dollar store in Lacassine at 1:20 am.  The store was closed and deputies stopped to check on the vehicle.

Two occupants were in the vehicle.  A computer check alerted deputies to outstanding warrants for both persons. 

Ronald Wayne Owens, 41, of 603 Dautel street, Welsh was arrested for Felony theft warrant. 

Laikyn Rey Miller, 24, of 312 Fourth avenue Fenton, LA was also arrested on warrant for  Theft of the elderly. 

A consent to search was obtained and the search revealed drug paraphernalia and suspected crystal methamphetamine.  Additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of CDS II methamphetamine were added to both Owens and Miller.  They are currently held in the parish jail awaiting court appearance.
