On Saturday January 4, 2020 Deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violation on Lake Arthur Avenue and Howard street, Jennings. 

The driver, Carl Wayne Sinegal, 47, of 404 Orange Avenue, Lake Arthur had a suspended driver's license and admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. 

Jennings Police arrived to assist and during the search of the vehicle, Officer Williams yelled for help. Sinegal collapsed and was sweating profusely. Acadian Ambulance responded, Sinegal was incoherent and seemed confused. Acadian Ambulance arrived on scene and transported Sinegal to Jennings American Legion Hospital for medical treatment.  

After being cleared, Sinegal was placed under arrest and charged with LA RS 32:104 Turn Movements and Signals Required, citation 200557. Sinegal was then booked into for LA RS 40:966C.2(a) Possession of Marijuana 1st Offense, 40:967C Possession of CDS Schedule II, and 40:1023C Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
