traffic stop nets drug arrest

On Monday morning at 2 AM deputies stopped a black Buick lacrosse on Touchet road and Hwy 90. Deputies recognized the driver as a female they had dealt with in the past. 

During the stop a request to search the vehicle was obtained and the search revealed a small amount of marijuana in the cup holder inside of the vehicle. 

While deputies were talking with the driver a small plastic bag and a pink sock fell from under her hoodie. The items were believed to contain methamphetamine.

The driver, Brittany  Skye Legros, 29, of 211 West Fifth street, Roanoke, LA was transported to the parish jail and booked for possession of CDS II.

During booking deputies discovered Legros had additional narcotics in her bra.  Deputies recovered 28.7 grams of Crystal methamphetamine, 6.3 grams marijuana, and 33 pills.  Legros was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, careless operation, possession of CDS II, Possession of CDS II with intent to distribute, Possession of CDS IV, and Possession of CDS IV with intent to distribute.
