On April 14, 2019 patrol deputies stopped a vehicle on Interstate 10 for traffic violation. When deputies asked the driver to retrieve the registration and insurance documents, he opened the glove box to reveal a small baggy of suspected marijuana in plain view of deputies. 

The driver was placed under arrest for possession of CDS I marijuana. A computer inquiry produced a NCIC hit for an assault warrant from Harris County Sheriff’s office, Houston Texas.  

Joshua Michael Johnson, 30, of 719 Barren Springs drive, Houston was arrested and booked into the parish jail on the charges and held with no bond.  A detainer hold by Harris County was placed on Johnson.
