On April 3, 2019, deputies working the Sex offender watch division arrested a Tier-3 Sex offender for failure to register as a sex offender or child predator (failure to notify change of address). 

On March 28, 2019 deputies conducted a check on a residence in Elton, LA.  The new occupant advised she is a single mother and had moved into the residence in July 2018 with her two children. 

Ryan Dale Gardner, 33, last known address on Seward Lane, Elton was arrested on warrant issued 3/28/2019 for violation of LSA R.S. 15:542.1.4 Failure to register as a sex offender.  Gardner was booked into the parish jail on a $10,000 bond.
