Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office announces that the Livestock Brand Commission has increased the reward up to $3,000.00 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of persons shooting cattle.

The Jeff Davis Parish Cattleman’s Association donated an additional eight hundred dollars to increase the reward to $3,000.00.

Detectives and Livestock Brand commission Agents have been working together since the first incident was reported January 14, 2019, where more than five cows were found shot near Faul road and Lone Pine Road north of Welsh.  The second report by the same farmer on January 25, 2019, where a bull was found shot in the head and above the left flank.
