On July 4, 2018, patrol deputies stopped a vehicle at 2:25 AM, near Hwy 90 and 4th street in Roanoke for improper lane usage. 

The driver, Trevor Lee Romero, 19 of 416 Orange street, Lake Arthur and passenger, Joseph Griffin, 19, of 925 West Division street, Jennings were both arrested for possession of cds I marijuana.

Romero admitted to deputies he swallowed some marijuana as deputies were making the traffic stop.  He began vomiting and Acadian ambulance responded and provided medical attention to Romero.

He was cleared by EMS, released and booked into the parish jail. Griffin was booked into the parish jail and released on summons.
