On Sunday August 4, 2013, Jefferson Davis Sheriff Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Oldsmobile TX registration DD3T016 on I-10 w/b for speeding.  Upon contact with the driver, deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the interior of the vehicle.  Consent to search was obtained from the driver, deputies discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A 3 year old child was also occupying vehicle. Both occupants, Joshua Deon Houston, B/M, 20, of 21019 Noelle Ct, Humble, Texas and Tawanna Montrell Shaw, B/F, 20, of 9347 Tom Thumb Ln, Humble, Texas were arrested, but later cited and released because of jail space on traffic charges and Possession of Marijuana and possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
