Jefferson Davis Parish deputies responded to two disturbance calls this weekend that resulted in the arrest of two men. On Saturday 3/05/16 deputies were called to 809 N. Hwy 26 in Lake Arthur by an elderly victim. The victim reported she was injured while trying to keep Justin Trahan, 34, of 813 N. Hwy 26, Lake Arthur from driving away drunk. Deputies approached Trahan and discovered he was under the influence of alcohol and had trouble speaking with deputies and understanding commands. Trahan was arrested and charged with simple battery of the infirm and booked into the parish jail with no bond.
|On Sunday 03/06/16, Deputies responded to 801 N. Hwy 26 in Lake Arthur for a disturbance. When deputies arrived there was a male victim laying in the parking lot bloody and confused. Deputies were advised by a witness that the victim and a male subject had been fighting. Deputies located the other male, Christopher Duane Berras, 42, of 206 Downs st. Jennings and arrested him for 2nd degree Battery. Berras was booked into the parish jail with no bond.|
