Sheriff Ivy Woods would like to invite you to the Opioid Prevention Event hosted by the Rural Communities opioid response program (RCORP) and Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital.

The event will be at the Grand Marais, 919 North Lake Arthur Avenue, Jennings, LA. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday November 16, 2023, on National Rural Health Day. 

This is a unique program focusing on the Opioid epidemic in the rural communities in our state, funded by the Health Resources & Services Administration.

Our overall goal is to address barriers to treatment for substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder (OUD). It works toward the United States Department of Health & Human Services goal of ending the opioid epidemic.
