On Friday, September 15, 2023, Deputies assigned to the sex Offender Watch received information that Christopher Joseph Provost,49, was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Facility on outstanding warrants. 

Provost was arrested and held on the charge Failure to Register as a Sex Offender for the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office. 

On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, Provost was transported to the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office to be booked in. 

Christopher Joseph Provost had previously been convicted of Failure to Register as Sex Offender in the 15th Judicial District Court in Lafayette Parish on December 11, 2014.  Provost was also convicted of Failure to Register as Sex Offender in the 19th Judicial District Court in East Baton Rouge Parish on September 24, 2020.
