Narcotics Search Warrant 9/1/2026

On September 1, 2026, the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office STING (Specialized Tactical Investigative Narcotics Group) coordinated with the JDPSO STAT Unit (Specialized Tactics and Training) as well as JPDSO Patrol deputies to execute a Narcotics Search Warrant at the residence of 424 Nemento Ave., Lake Arthur, La.

The Narcotics Search Warrant resulted in the arrest of Marshall Richard, 37 yoa, Melonie Richard, 18 yoa, and Kailyn Crochet, 24 yoa, who reside at that address.

In total, the STING operation resulted in the seizure of:

· Approximately 8.4 Ounces of Marijuana,

· Approximately 33.4 grams of Methamphetamine,

· Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine pills,

· Three Firearms,

· Legend Drugs,

· And assorted Drug Paraphernalia commonly used for the preparation of illegal narcotics for distribution.

Marshall Richard is being charged with Possession of CDS I with Intent - Marijuana, Possession of CDS II with Intent - Methamphetamine, Possession of CDS in the presence of persons under 17 yoa (5 Counts), Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a crime - CDS, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (3 counts), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Melonie Richard is being charged with Possession of CDS I with Intent - Marijuana, Possession of CDS II with Intent - Methamphetamine, Possession of CDS in the presence of persons under 17 yoa (5 Counts), Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a crime - CDS, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Kailyn Crochet is being charged with Possession of CDS I with Intent - Marijuana, Possession of CDS II with Intent - Methamphetamine, Possession of CDS in the presence of persons under 17 yoa (5 Counts), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Kailyn Crochet and Melonie Richard were released charges pending. Marshall Richard was booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail without incident.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
