MISSING PERSON UPDATE

***UPDATE ON MISSING PERSON***
On August 27, 2025, at approximately 12:40 PM, the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office located a deceased female in the median between North Frontage Road and I-10 near mile marker 44.
During the initial investigation, Detectives were able to confirm the identity of the female as Bonnie Fontenot, who had previously been reported missing through our agency.
The Louisiana State Police responded to the scene, at which time the investigation was turned over to their agency. The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office will continue to assist the Louisiana State Police as needed.
