Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office Makes Arrest Following ICAC Cyber Tip
The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office arrested Kade McClelland, (Age 19) after investigating a cyber tip through the Attorney General's, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force regarding suspected illegal online activity.
Detectives with the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office immediately began an investigation and obtained search warrants for multiple online accounts associated with the investigation. Upon receiving and reviewing the data returned from those accounts, detectives located approximately 131 images believed to contain child sexual abuse material.
Based on the evidence obtained during the investigation, detectives requested an arrest warrant for Kade. The warrant was granted, and Kade was subsequently arrested without incident during the execution of a search warrant in Lake Arthur, Louisiana.
This case remains under active investigation, and additional charges may be possible as detectives continue to review the evidence.
The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office remains committed to investigating crimes involving the exploitation of children and working with local, state, and federal partners to identify and hold offenders accountable.
Kade McClelland, (Age 19)
Charged with 131 counts of Pornography involving juveniles and he is being held with no bond.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
