Arrest 9/23/13

On September 23,2013 Jefferson Davis Sheriff's deputies stopped a Toyota sequoia for a traffic violation on LA Hwy 26 near milepost 64. Upon speaking to the driver from the passenger side the deputy observed a pill bottle in the glove compartment in which the pill label was removed.  Upon removing the bottle the deputy observed marijuana seeds in it.  A consensual search of the vehicle revealed marijuana on the passenger side floorboard.  The passenger, Zachary Seth Kershaw, W/M, 32 yoa, of 1217 Theo Rd, Jennings  was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  The suspect was cited and released due to lack of jail space.
