Narcotics Search Warrant Conducted on June 2, 2026

On June 2, 2026, the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office STING (Specialized Tactical Investigative Narcotics Group) utilized the JDPSO STAT (Specialized Tactics and Training) Unit as well as the JPDSO Patrol deputies to execute a Narcotics Search Warrant at a residence located in Welsh, La.

The Narcotics Search Warrant resulted in the arrest of Larry T. Simien, 41, who resides in Welsh, La. STING Detectives recovered approximately $1366.00 in US Currency, 5 Ounces of Methamphetamine, 1 ounce of Pink Fentanyl, 15 grams of Marijuana, 2 grams of Crack Cocaine, and Drug Paraphernalia.

During Larry Simien's arrest, Larry Simien threw illegal narcotics outside of his vehicle prior to coming to a stop in attempt to prevent the arresting deputies from recovering the items.

Larry Simien was arrested without incident and was booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail for Possession of CDS I with Intent - Marijuana, Possession of CDS II with Intent - Methamphetamine, Possession of CDS II with intent - Fentanyl, Possession of CDS II - Crack Cocaine, Obstruction of Justice, Possession of Proceeds from Drug Transactions, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
