On Friday, May 26, 2023, Deputies were dispatched to 15509 Atterberry Road, Welsh, Louisiana, in reference to a domestic disturbance. 

Deputies spoke with a female when they arrived that had blood on her arms and stomach area.  Deputies were informed that the complainant and her boyfriend were in an argument, and he broke an aquarium in the home and the glass cut her arm. 

A witness at the home confirmed the argument got bad and the witness removed two small children from the home when the argument got heated. 

Matthew Nicholas Johns, 23, was arrested and booked into the parish jail on contempt of court warrant for traffic offenses and domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.
