On February 09, 2023, at around 1:30 pm Deputies were dispatched to 20500 North Frontage Road Iowa, Louisiana, in reference to a family disturbance.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the reporting party had left the scene, notifying dispatchers that she didn't want to get involved.  Deputies spoke with the parties involved , a husband and wife of fifteen years. 

Deputies noted physical injuries to the husband and statements that the wife wanted to hurt herself. 

Deputies placed Brittany Denise Strauhan, 37 under arrest for domestic abuse battery with child endangerment. 

A 11-year-old son was witness to the incident.  Strauhan was transported and booked into the parish jail.
