On October 14, 2022, at around 10:30 pm, Deputies were dispatched to 16158 North Gallaugher Road, Jennings, in reference to a domestic disturbance.

The complainant advised the dispatcher that she locked herself in the bedroom closet to contact law enforcement.

The complainant reported the disturbance was between Brittany Crochet and Jonathan Matthews.

Deputies arrived and separated the two and tried to get them calmed down.  Both parties admitted to drinking and had got into an argument.  Deputies observed broken glass and furniture turned over.  Both parties were very irate and uncooperative. 

Jonathan Paul Matthews, 45 and Brittany Rae Crochet, 32, were both transported and booked into the parish jail for Domestic Abuse Battery. Jonathan was also booked Resisting an Officer.
