On Saturday, July 23, 2022, Deputies were dispatched to 5406 Dave Williams Road in Jennings, Louisiana, in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

The complainant was upset because an unidentified white truck was parked across the road from his residence.  The caller advised dispatch on a recorded line, "he was about to put holes in the truck". And stated he had fired a warning shot with his AR rifle and the vehicle had not moved. 

When deputies arrived, they discovered the truck was there along with fire trucks from District 2 on the scene of a gas leak call. The district fire chief and volunteers were waiting for deputies to arrive before going back to  the vehicles.  

Linus Whitley Landry, 57, of 5406 Dave Williams Road, Jennings was arrested and booked into the parish jail for resisting an officer and aggravated assault with a firearm.
