On June 6, 2022, Deputies were dispatched to 17277 Vanicor Road, Welsh, in reference to violation of a protective order.

Deputies spoke with the complainant and she reported, her husband had punched her the night before and forced his way into the house. 

Deputies located her husband, Eddie James Latiolais at the Motel 6 , on Holiday drive in Jennings. 

Latiolais, 57, of 17277 Vanicor road, Welsh, was placed under arrest for LRS 14:79 Violation of a Protection Order, transported and booked into the parish jail.
