On May, 10, 2022, at 9:00 pm Deputies were patrolling on Highway 99 observed a vehicle traveling South on Highway 99 with a headlight out.

Deputies stopped the vehicle to inform the driver and discovered the driver was under suspension. 

Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle while contacting the driver, Destiney Mia Crosby, 27, of 606 Hwy 26 Elton, LA. 

A consent to search was obtained and marijuana was found in the center console of the vehicle.  Crosby was arrested and booked into the parish jail for driving under suspension, no insurance, headlamps on vehicle, possession of CDS I Marijuana and a contempt of court warrant for previous violations.
