Domestic disturbance leads to arrest

On Monday, July 12, 2021, Deputies were dispatched to 135 Roy Reeves Road, in reference to a disturbance. Deputies were told by the complainants, they were in fear of being hurt by the grandson,  Joshua Allen Hooper, 40, of 135 Roy Reeves road.

Hooper reportedly clinched his fists and got into his 83 year old grandmother's face and shook his fist and yelled at her for letting another family member into the house.  Hooper also began punching the walls and throwing items in the residence.  Deputies talked Hooper out of his locked room and placed him under arrest without incident. 

Hooper was booked into the parish jail for simple assault, cruelty to the infirmed and false imprisonment.
