On Monday, May 3, 2021, Deputies stopped a black Audi for traffic violations on Interstate 10 at milepost 55. 

The driver had a suspended license and deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  A consent to search was granted by the driver and the search by deputies revealed two Glock semi auto pistols, marijuana, promethazine, and approximately $40,000.00 us currency in the vehicle. 

The driver, Tvantai Jaimar Owens, 22, of 43189 Hinson road, Hammond, LA was booked for Following too close, Improper lane usage, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, possession of cds II, possession of a firearm with CDS. 

Caleb Glenn Evans, 19, of 508 Taft street, Patterson, LA was booked for possession of marijuana, possession of CDS II , and possession of firearm with CDS.
