On Monday, April 26, 2021, around 5 pm , Deputies stopped a vehicle near Hwy 26 and Lantz road.  The complaint called in reported the vehicle nearly hit two vehicles head on and then pulled over on the shoulder of the road and stopped. 

Deputies observed the driver reaching in the vehicle's rear seat trying to hide something. When the driver was asked to exit the vehicle, he stumbled, and appeared to be having trouble.

After learning the driver had previous drug usage, a consent to search was obtained and the search revealed narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. 

Cameron Gage Hanks, 27, of 3728 Hundley road, Jennings was arrested and booked into the parish jail on possession of CDS I (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
