On Monday, February 8, 2021, Deputies were dispatched to 6192 Highway 90, Jennings, Louisiana in reference to a disturbance. 

Dispatcher advised responding deputies complainant had been assaulted by his brother, Thomas Byrd.  Complainant reported brother was armed with a gun and had also pepper sprayed the victim.

When deputies arrived on scene, the victim showed signs of being sprayed with an irritant.  The victim stated to deputies that his brother pulled a firearm on him and threatened to shoot him because he drove into the driveway too fast. 

Thomas Allen Byrd, 48, of 811 Gallup street, Jennings was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and aggravated battery. Byrd was transported to the parish jail and is held with no bond.
