On Friday March 6, Deputies were called to 718 Third street, Elton on a complaint that a male had doused gasoline on his girlfriend and in the house threatening to burn it if she didn't leave. 

When deputies arrived they found the male outside the residence and smelled the odor of gasoline in the residence. 

While deputies were investigating the girlfriend returned to the residence and reported that she had gasoline poured on her by Thomas Henry Buxton, 50.  Buxton was arrested and charged with attempted aggravated arson.
