Early Sunday morning December 15, deputies stopped a female on west Plaquemine street and near down street at around 1:00 am.  She was riding a bicycle with no lights.

Deputies asked her to remove her hands from her pockets and asked her to empty her pockets.  Deputies observed a syringe and needle in her hand.  A consent to search revealed 3 small bags of crystal methamphetamine. 

Christi lane Benoit, 30, of 22251 Hwy 26, Jennings was arrested and booked into the parish jail for possession of CDS II, possession of drug paraphernalia and 32:329 Bicycle lamps; reflectors.
