On May 25, 2019, patrol deputies stopped a male subject on a bicycle on West Welsh street near North Polk street at midnight with no lights illuminating from the cycle.

The subject had a previous weapons violation and deputies asked if he was carrying a weapon. He admitted to having firearm in waistband.  Deputies removed a .45 caliber semi-auto Glock from the subject. 

Jermaine Washington Sr.,  47, of 912 West Millard street, Welsh was arrested for possession of a firearm by convicted felon, illegal carry of weapons, possession of synthetic marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
