Cocaine and marijuana seizure

On November 3, 2013, at approximately 2230 hrs, Jefferson Davis Parish deputies patrolling observed a grey Nissan Titan traveling eastbound on I-10 commit a traffic violation and was stopped near milepost 51. The driver, Jonathan Obrian Ray Hamilton, 24, of 200 Kathy Meadows Lane, Crowley was extremely nervous and sweating. Deputy Clement asked and was refused voluntary consent to search. K-9 Sandor was utilized and gave a positive alert on the vehicle. Narcotics detectives were in the area and responded to assist.  Detectives located a hidden electronic compartment in the vehicle in which 4.4 pounds of cocaine and 1 pound of marijuana were recovered.  The vehicle was impounded and Hamilton was booked for possession w/intent schedule I & schedule II narcotics.
