Jeff Davis Sheriff’s deputies also responded to 8732 Hwy 14, Lake Arthur for  a domestic disturbance around 11:30 PM on Sunday night. When deputies arrived they were told that an argument between the victim and her husband had started in the bedroom while they were wrapping presents.

The victim stated that her husband threw an object at her and struck her in the head causing bruising to the forehead. The couple’s three children were present in the residence at the time the incident occurred.

Deputies located the husband, Dustin Dwayne Sonnier, 26, of 300 Miller road, Lake Arthur, at the shop rite store in Lake Arthur and placed him under arrest for domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.
