Jeff Davis Sheriff’s deputies made two arrests on Tuesday 12/18.  The first was a registered sex offender, James Brinson, 50, of 1424 W. Division street, Jennings. 

Brinson was warned by Sex Offender watch deputies that he was in violation, driving a vehicle that was not registered and had switched plates.  Brinson continued to use the vehicle and was stopped by Jennings Police officers on December 14, 2018. 

The vehicle was towed by wrecker for having switched plates.  Sex Offender watch deputies obtained a warrant for Brinson on charges of LSA R.S. 15:542.1.4 Failure to register and notify as sex offender. Brinson was booked into the parish jail Tuesday with no bond.
