Jefferson Davis Sheriff’s office deputies made two arrests over the weekend.

Cody Lejeune, 35, of 4505 Trailer Town road, Jennings was arrested for identity theft.  The complainant stated Lejeune used her debit card to make unauthorized purchases of cigarettes at several local stores and withdrew funds from an ATM machine.

A second unrelated arrest of a man who broke into a relative’s home when they were out of town. James Francois, 44, of 24163 Hwy 383, Iowa was arrested for  unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and unauthorized use of a movable. After making entry Francois obtained the keys to the owner’s vehicle and drove the car while they were away.  Both are held in the parish jail with no bond.
